House Rules

We ask you to please note the following:
 
  • To comply with liability guidelines, only registered guests are allowed on the property.
  • The primary guest is responsible for making sure the house rules are conveyed to all the guests and is responsible for their actions. 
  • Vehicles are allowed only on the driveway, no parking on the grass please.
  • When cooking, please remember to turn on the fan above the stove.
  • Please use the placemats provided on dining table to prevent damage to the surface.
  • No smoking inside the house please.
  • There will be a smoking fee if there is evidence of smoke found inside the house.
  • If you smoke outside the house, please make sure you close the door behind you.
  • If you are planning on using any of the kayak or the canoe, please let me know in advance as waiver form is required.
  • At the end of your stay, please:
    • Place your dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start the dishwasher if possible.
    • Remove any mess on the floor or the kitchen counters and place them in the garbage bin in the kitchen.
    • Turn off all the lights and appliances.
    • Take garbage bag from the kitchen and place it in the bin located outside the house.
  • If you need anything but can't find, please let me know.

Info & House Manual

The entire house is equipped with floor heating, and the temperature can be adjusted by the thermostats for each area in the wintertime.
 
There are two wall mounted Mitsubishi units that work both as air conditioner and as heater, one in the living room and one in the master bedroom controlled by their remote.
 
There is a gas BBQ on the patio. There are two knobs connected to the hose leading to the BBQ. You need to turn both knobs to the left so the gas will flow to the BBQ grill.
 
There are two switches located in each bathroom that ventilate the house to get fresh air whenever needed. This is in addition to timed switches in the bathrooms that ventilate just the bathrooms.
 
There are six battery operated candles by the mirror in the living room. To turn them on, first flip the switch under each candle to "ON" position. You can then use the small remote control to turn the candles on. There are extra batteries in the left drawer of the kitchen island.
 
There is Bluetooth (wireless) speaker in the living room by the TV to which you can connect your mobile device.
 
Entertainment units, including TV, Samsung Blu-ray player, and surround sound system, as well as air hockey and foosball, are in the basement.
 
Note that the basement has a low ceiling, about six (6) feet.

Kitchen Faucet

Kitchen faucet water flows by lifting the handle. Turn the handle left for warmer water and right for colder water.

You can slide Mitsubishi controller cover to find more buttons that you can use to control the AC unit or use the unit as a heater.

Use the other two remotes to control the living room ceiling fans & lights.

Wall-Mount Units (AC & Heater)

There are two (2) units, one in the living room and the other in the master bedroom. In the summertime, they function as air conditioners, and in wintertime they provide heat.  This is in addition to in-floor heating.

Bedroom Ceiling Light & Fan Switch. Make sure the tab is in ON position. Green button controls the light and the other buttons control ceiling fan speed. If these buttons are not responsive, it could be because the light or the fan was turned off using the their chains!

Battery-Powered Candles

The candles are battery powered. You need to turn the switch in the bottom to "ON" position. You can then use the remote control to turn the candles on or off.

All the rooms and bathrooms have in-floor heating which is controlled by the thermostats located in each room.

BBQ Propane Feed Valves

BBQ Grill uses propane.  Turn both valves counterclockwise to turn on propane feed to the BBQ. You can then use the knobs on the grill and by pushing the magnetic igniter to start the BBQ.
